Partnerships
Inter-Community Partnerships
Section titled “Inter-Community Partnerships”Communities are stronger when they’re connected to other communities. Partnerships expand your reach, diversify your perspectives, and create opportunities that no single group could generate alone.
Types of Partnerships
Section titled “Types of Partnerships”Knowledge sharing
Section titled “Knowledge sharing”Two communities agree to share resources — reading lists, templates, frameworks. Low commitment, high value.
Joint events
Section titled “Joint events”Co-host a workshop, panel, or social event. Each community brings members; both benefit from the cross-pollination.
Cross-membership
Section titled “Cross-membership”Members of one community are invited to visit or join the other. This works best when communities are complementary, not overlapping.
Mentorship
Section titled “Mentorship”A mature community supports a newer one — sharing what worked, what didn’t, and providing guidance on common challenges.
Finding Partners
Section titled “Finding Partners”Look for communities that:
- Share your values but have a different focus
- Serve a complementary audience
- Have a similar culture of generosity and mutual improvement
- Are stable enough to be a reliable partner
Making Partnerships Work
Section titled “Making Partnerships Work”- Start small — One joint event or shared resource, not a formal alliance
- Assign a liaison — One person from each community who maintains the relationship
- Define expectations — What each community will contribute and receive
- Evaluate periodically — Is the partnership still valuable for both sides?
The JuntoGroups Network
Section titled “The JuntoGroups Network”Every Junto community is a potential partner for every other. The network exists to facilitate these connections. When you contribute to the JuntoGroups knowledge base, you’re building resources that benefit all member communities.
